Shovel shovel....
so, it's been snowing all day. so what did i decide to do? shovel.
I shoveled the driveway, including an entire parking space worth of space on the street, where two feet of brown slush had piled up. A nice guy helping my downstairs neighbor move out took care of most of the end of the slush, which was nice, because it was really heavy.
I also shoved the sidewalk for three houses, and the walk up to the house.
Then the guys moving tried to help me with de-icing my windshield (and entire car, really). It's covered in two inches of ice--the windshield; the rest of the car has a healthy coating, too. They tried to pour this windshield stuff over it, but it seemed to just make it worse....Until about 15 minutes later, when it would in fact crack some of the ice. But there was an open space in the middle of the windshield....which is hard for me to reach. Got abut a fourth of the windshield clear, and one side window. Driver's side window not successful. Both mirrors are clear now, though.
I gave up because I'm hoping for a sunny day. Also, I was sad at looking at the blue snow on my windshield. >< It's also snowing harder now. I got to see real snowflakes though--that had a shape, rather than just "clump o' snow." That actually made me strangely happy. :D
It's two hours since I started. I stopped when my hands began to hurt. I got the most ice off when I got angry at it. And, psychic detectives is STILL on when I came back. xP;
And you know what I learned? I have a lot more stamina than I thought. AND I finally apparently can shovel with my arms, not my back. (hurray!) I must not be in too horrible of shape, at least when it comes to snow shoveling. I was actually shoveling so steadily that I got too hot. xD
Hurray, I'm not in as awful of shape as I thought! ^____^-
edit: Awesome, I can remote-lock my car from my apartment window, which is around a corner from my parking spot. SWEET.
