So, apparently, Jonathan Chait doesn't like Greg Mankiw's defense of the 1%. To be honest, I don't know who Jonathan Chait is apart from the fact that he writes for New York Magazine, and seems to really dislike Republicans. This was something I had been thinking about for a while (as I was avoiding grading).  But,over the past few days, I've had some discussions with various colleagues and students that have made me think more about this issue.  So, here you go.  I'm going to talk both about pre-college education and also college education.
