[ Souji is out for a jog in sweats. Late at night. Is Chie behind him? It's an appropriate thought, but nope. Souji has been putting on weight. Too much slacking off, not enough jumping into TVs and busting up shadows for daily exercise is making his body soft. If he wants to be an appropriate leader, he'd better start acting the part.

He stops, a little out of breath a few feet in front of Rise. Wow, talk about guilt. ]

[His voice catches her attention and snaps her out of her train of thought. Rise looks at him for a couple seconds before deciding to smile a little.]

Oh, hi, Senpai.

Hey. ...You're looking healthy.

[ Souji is usually to the point. But when Souji tries small talk, it's obvious he's nervous. Souji is a terrible liar. ]

...Um, are you okay?

You can sit down, if you want to.

[ Souji sits down on the park bench as his breathing calms down. ]

... I'm alright, thank you for asking.

[ He wanted to say sorry, to say sorry for a lot of things. The incident at the pool, his.... actions on the fourth of July, but he just purses his lips. ]

[She watches him before getting a little worried.]

Are you sure? You seem kind of...off.

Yeah, I'm fine.

[ He smiles and looks up to Rise. ]

How have you been?... Since the pool party?

Oh, um.

I've been okay, I guess.

[inababanchou]

I... want to apologize.

For confusing you and Nena. For making you worry.

[Rise looks at him for couple of seconds before giving him a serious look.]

Do you really mean it?

[inababanchou]

Yes. I mean it.

[ No hesitation. Souji seems earnest. ]

[She nods and smiles a little.]

Then I guess it's okay. Just don't do it again.

[ Souji would hug Rise, but he's kinda sweaty and Rise's kinda pretty so yeah no dice there. Instead he reclines back into the bench. ]

How are you settling in?

Pretty well. I'm kind of surprised. I was actually getting a little comfortable, until yesterday.

Were you affected from yesterday?

Not as badly as others. I was fine, except that these weird thoughts kept sneaking up on me that tried to tell me that I've always lived here. They never took over, but it did freak me out.
