Talking to myself in a flood

Spartan living indeed! Amid doing schoolwork, however unsuccessful that might be going, I now have no kitchen and thus no stove. As a result, I can't cook food. So I've been resorting to eating dry or dehydrated food (cereal and nuts and jerky), chilled stuff (milk, yogurt, and juice), and eating out or ordering food. It's frustratingly costly. It wouldn't be so bad if I had one of those little camping stoves so I could at least scramble some eggs or cook some sausage, but there's nothing within a reasonable walking distance from here to get food from that isn't an insanely expensive hippie restaurant. I can't even make coffee or tea because I can't boil water.
It's all because these renovator people for my landlord's house decided that the oven plug was an illegal fixture and decided to cut it off without replacing it. We probably won't have the oven working again until at least monday or tuesday (I'm being generous with this estimate), and it's already been cut off since Thursday.
And because I had to move everything I own to the basement (they're doing insulation through the house, too), I have to run to the basement from my room on the third floor to get anything. Bottles, books, notebooks, clothes, brain pills, paper, soap...it's all in the basement where the Tingler lives. And anything I don't take to the basement stays up here and ends up covered in plastic sheeting which is already covered in drywall powder and insulation bunnies from the first day the people were working.
Yippie.

school, food, fucking insane, angry
