So I'm watching Cowboy Bebop right now (weirdly, it's one of my favorite anime series ever, and probably is the one I've re-watched the most. Though I've rewatched some episodes of Detective Conan quite a few times too. On a side note, it almost makes me hope I'm dead before the live action movie comes out... I mean, Keanu Reeves is confirmed as playing Spike. -_- Not quite sure I can handle that.
Anyway, one of my very favorite episodes (which I'm watching right now), is Ballad of Fallen Angels. Dude. The music. I love that Walk in the Rain song. And the song that plays during the ...k, I hate it when my brain blanks. An artistic series of images. Starts with an M. Anyway, I love that whole M thing anyway. Maybe it's not an M. But whatever. The images and scenes they show and the way he's falling and the glass is breaking and the pretty song playing. Plus, I just like the whole episode. I like the episodes about Spike's past a lot.
Toys in the Attic is another of my early favorites. The fridge thing is hilarious.
And then the final two episodes, The Real Folk Blues are awesome. During the second one I always start crying when Faye is shooting her gun up at the ceiling and keep crying until the end of the credits. Not much can really do that to me.
I do really like a lot of the other episodes too though, of course. We tend to watch the dub. It's what we're used to and the dub is good anyway. Plus, that way I can watch it while I do other stuff. If I watch things in Japanese I have to pay a lot more attention.
According to Nate there is supposed to be more Cowboy Bebop coming up, but I can't find confirmation of that at the moment. I'll try to remember to ask him about it tomorrow.
What the heck? Shinjo Mayu is doing a Gundam manga... She's the mangaka of Kaikan Phrase, Love Celeb, and other weird and smutty shoujo manga with rather sadistic male main characters and super submissive female main characters. I have a lot of trouble remembering which is sadistic and which is masochistic... I mean the words. I can never remember which means what. I had to google them just now. Anyway, it's weird that she's doing a Gundam series. Wonder if it'll be yaoiriffic.
Anyway, Christmas stuff is chugging along fine. Except for my knitting and getting together presents for people. Kind of dropped the ball on that one so far. -_- But I did lots of cookies for mom and put up and decorated her tree. Went Friday, Monday, and today. Can't find green curry paste to buy for curry tomorrow, except for the like $5 one at Savemart. I'm not spending $5 on a little jar of curry paste. But yeah, been eating too many cookies. Been knitting on mom's gift but haven't really done Nate's, which sucks. Sent out Dad and Joy's presents though.
Oh, and Nate got sick. He's got a cold and stayed home from work today. I went and got him a giant bottle of tussin and he stayed home resting.
Oh, and he'd been saying for days that he was going to spend Christmas Eve at his parents' house and Christmas day here, so I was going to make Christmas dinner and all, and then tonight he said I must have misunderstood him and that his dad is only going to be gone on Christmas day and he HAS to spend the day with his mom. I don't get it, they don't even usually celebrate Christmas or Thanksgiving. XD Oh well, I like Christmas Eve best anyway, and I can still make Christmas dinner for myself and we'll have leftovers for days. I'd go to mom's house and make dinner for her and me there, but she's going out for Chinese food with Tim and some other guy. I'm sure I'd be invited, but do not want.
So lame about Gaia ending the Christmas event before Christmas this year. I was opening some of my Farmville presents earlier tonight though and that was fun. It's funner to open presents with other people though. Feeling kind of lonely this Christmas season. :o
Anyway, tomorrow Nate and I are going grocery shopping and running errands and then at night we're going to watch Christmas movies, including Muppet Christmas Carol and Rudolph (and Home Alone for him). :D And I'm going to make more Noels and some spice cookies. And bake some more of the candied fruit cookies since we've still got over half a roll left. And we're probably going to visit mom since Nate's been supposed to for a couple weeks now and hasn't and said tomorrow would be a good time.
Hey, were those two guys really having sex together in Waltz on Venus when Faye ran in? I don't remember that from watching it on Cartoon Network... Seems like something you would remember.
