Hysera:
Seventeen gods and goddesses forged the world, and all that live in it. An age after they created man, four of the gods discovered a powerful magic, and turned their backs on the other gods. They created monsters. With the other gods cleaning up the mess, the four gods took the keep, and held the others out of the heavens.
An age passed, and the thirteen made dragons. The dragons were their war machines, and held the earth in check while the gods fought in the heavens. The dragons did their best to resist the temptation to think of themselves better than man, but couldn't.
The thirteen won, and cast the four out. The dealt with all but the ice dragons, who they thought of as the only decent dragons left. The majority of dragons were sent down to the underworld to be condemned with the other beings who brought misery. Those remaining were bitter, and sad, and mostly alone.
A battle was waged to end the winter that was thought to have been brought on by the ice dragon's tears. Thirteen heroes, one for each god and goddess, set out to rid the world of the ice dragons, and the monsters that started appearing with them. Stories about who was to blame for the winter differ, and stories of how the battle was won differ.
The primary belief of the afterlife is that those who led good lives will be caught up to the heavens, and be able to serve in the final battle against the four. Those who led bad lives will be dragged down to the depths, where they will join the ranks of those fighting against the thirteen. No one wants to jinx the final battle by saying who is likely to win.

Clergy;
Hysera has a very solid structure. At the top are the Elders; people who have lived their lives fairly well, and hold the knowledge of the principals of their religion. Generally, each town will have thirteen elders. The elders pass down their knowledge of magic to any follower who wants to learn it. The only requirement to become an Elder is age, and magical knowledge. Prowess isn't taken into consideration.
Innussy:
Two gods created the world, and everyone in it. These two gods are constantly trying to gain an advantage against each other in a never ending struggle. Men were created so they could be a medium through which the two gods could talk as they cannot talk directly to each other. Monsters were created because men stopped listening, and needed to be pushed back to belief. Dragons were created because the monsters became too powerful, and man couldn't stop them. Men were led to destroy the dragons because the dragons grew too prideful and tried to rule men themselves. Ice dragons mourned their fallen comrades, and sought to destroy man with an endless winter. Man finally won with the help of thirteen heroes.
The two gods have achieved a balance in recent times. The Innussy church believes this balance should be preserved to keep the world in it's peaceful state. They seek to balance the power of the two gods in the world by spreading their faith.
Gods;
Hisa - The god of light, life, peace, healing, and the feminine.
Fana - The god of dark, death, love, pain, and the masculine.
Clergy;
There are two divisions within the clergy: the Sun branch, and the Ring branch. Both share the same structure, except that the Sun branch uses light magic, and the Ring branch uses dark magic.
At the head is the Archbishop, who is the head of the church for a wide area, and often the most knowledgable about it. Below him are two High Bishops, who run individual assemblies in towns, but are highly ranked in their domain. Below them are four Bishops, who also run individual assemblies, but have some say in the decisions in the overall region. Below them are any number of Pastors, who run the assemblies that aren't as high ranking, and have very little say in the overall region. Below them are Pupils, Pastors in training who have no say whatsover in the region.
