As a small snowdrift of papers and datapads gradually accumulated around him, X was grudgingly coming to the conclusion that he may well have a few heads to gently knock together.

Well, maybe just one.

It's rather sad that I can get more of my logging done in another universe entirely, simply because he's not here.

Yet.

Gate was getting jittery again, of course; he went through cycles, and the latest run of tests for Alia had ... less than optimal results. Morale was getting low, Gate was getting off his nut, and X's nerves were actually starting to wear a little thin.

I don't want to just remove him; I'll break him in the process.

We need an outside view. No better place than here, to find one ~

Sighing, he began -- for the third time -- to sort through the drift of paperwork before resuming the voluminous notation. Reports for the Hunters, complete with insignia, in this pile; lab reports in this other pile ...
