As part of my divine office, I've been investigating a Cadbury product I've not previously encountered. Toffee Apple is pretty good, as the same suggests the chocolate holds pieces of toffee (not soft caramel, hard/chewy little chips) and bits of slightly spongy dried apple. It's actually a lot nicer than it sounds.
In fact, today has been a day of little victories. I've finished hand stitching myself a Roman dress (ten hours hand stitching. Whoever uploaded the whole of Sapphire and Steel onto YouTube has my eternal gratitude) and I look...Roman-ish. Very strongly Roman flavoured, sort of thing.
I've also discovered the lasagne sheets are quite an interesting art medium. They'r already a cheer, organic colour, take pencil lines very well and are rather splendidly translucent. The fact that you can pick up a box of about 20 of them for 30p is definitely a bonus. I've been experimenting glueing different coloured herbs and spices on the sheet for colour- green tarragon, yellow/orange turmeric, black pepper, red paprika. I'll let you know how it goes when the glue dries.
