Nottingham has been kind to me lately.
On Sunday, I spent the day in a pub called the Fellows (it's on Canal Street, and it's bloody nice) catching up with the ever-lovely Hayden. He lured me with reminders of how great the Lions are, so there's a fair chance I'm going to the Gath this year.
Even better, I start a new job on Maid Marian Way on Monday. Employment beckons, thank you gods! It's pretty easy to get to from the Red Arrow bus, and it's weekly pay.
Today, form-signing day, was particularly agreeable. The two hours of paperwork were dull, but then I wandered off to find the site (easy once I ditched the map and went for it) and upon bimbling back to the market square found a nice little sandwich place. The made me a massive sarnie, but even with a can of Diet Coke and a banana they only charged £2.50. Which meant that suddenly I had a budget for the Bead Shop. Joy to me!
I'm pretty easy to please, really.
