I have been contemplating how to best manifest the texturizing and painting of my homes interior walls. My first thought was Paint Party! Now I am thinking that the costs of rollers, poles, brushes, tape, tarps, and whatever else goes along with it, plus the effort of buying or trying to rent these items, organizing a painting team and providing comfort for said painters, might meet or exceed the cost of hiring professionals to do the job. That means setting up consultations and estimates.
We know the maintenance guy from our apartment since we moved in and trust him so we will arranged an estimate from him. Home Depot does free in home estimates so I will be setting up appointments with them. I have a call in to a local painting company I found on Yelp.
So what is your experience with above mentioned tasks? Is it cheaper to do it yourself or worth having a professional do it>
We also need to lift the capet and see what condition the floor is in and then perhaps have the floors refinished.
Of course I need these tasks completed by July 3rd but dont have access to the house until July 2nd!
We plan to move into the house 4th of July weekend and I want the walls and floors done before then. How do I make this happen? (Yeah, right.)
