Harry inspected the cake that Draco set in front of him. It was somewhat lopsided, and there were places where the cake showed through the icing. Words spelled out in icing, Happy Birthday Harry, were barely legible.
In short, the cake was a hot mess, but the fact that Draco had put forth the effort left Harry chuffed to bits. He cut a slice and brought a forkful to his mouth. In spite of its appearance, the cake was surprisingly delicious.
"Do you like it?" Draco asked, sounding uncertain.
"I love it!" Harry enthused, beaming up at him. "It's brilliant."
