"Call Robin as soon as you're able," said Niko, not acknowledging my sarcasm. "Salome is missing Spartacus, or so he says."
"Yeah, okay, I'll give him a call," I said before ending my conversation with Nik. I'd cheerfully yank Robin's chain every day and twice on Sundays, but I had no intention of getting on Salome's bad side. That didn't make me less of a man. Even Spartacus was scared of her.
I went looking for the mummified feline and found him crouched on top of the fridge. "Get down from there," I said. "We need to call your girlfriend."
