Jae's Monthly Drabble Challenge # 206: Duplicity 3

Apr 02, 2023 16:38

After March kicked our asses on the way out, April has been marginally better. Rumor has it we're in for another weather-related ass-kicking this week, however.

This month's JMDC prompt is a quote: "You haven't bought me dinner yet." You needn't use the quote verbatim if you'd rather simply convey the meaning/intent behind it. Feel free to write/draw any fandom, pairing, threesome, gen fic, original fic, etc. Combine it with other prompts, if you're able.

Please post your entry in your own journal (unlocked!) or a community of your choice, and leave me a link in the comments below. You have until April 30 at 10:00pm CST to submit an entry. At that time, I'll post links to the entries and draw a name from among the participants to receive a drabble from me.

Below is my entry for this month:

"Would you like some pearls to clutch?" Malfoy quipped.

Harry's head snapped up. "Did you steal those, too?"

"It was a rhetorical question, Potter."

Harry ignored him and stood. He reached in the pocket of his Auror uniform for a pair of magical handcuffs.

"It's too early to introduce kink in our relationship, Potter," Malfoy said. "You haven't bought me dinner yet."

"I'm arresting you," Harry bit out.

"For what?!"

"For the crime of stealing a valuable item from a museum."

"That's not true," Malfoy protested.

"You deny taking the trophy?"

"The Hockey Hall of Fame is not a museum."
