The door to Malfoy's room banged shut behind me. I tried not to let his Ice Prince persona get to me, but it was infuriating. He was infuriating.
I relaxed my fists and took two deep breaths, feeling a sense of calm and renewal settle over me. I'd never get anywhere with Malfoy unless I kept my cool. He had mentally slotted me into the 'work mate' category, and he refused to entertain the idea of anything more.
It was short sighted of him, sure, but not necessarily mean spirited. I simply had to work harder to change his mind.
