Summary: The snob vs the slob

"Why re-size your wardrobe when you can buy a new one?" Draco asked, aghast at the mere suggestion. "It's not as if your vaults don't provide a steady stream of revenue."

"It's not the money that bothers me," said Harry. "It's the shopping."

"I can shop for you," offered Draco.

"No."

Draco planted his hands on his hips. "What do you mean, 'no'?"

At least bickering had put some color back in Harry's face. He crossed his arms and adopted a mulish expression. "You are not going to shop for clothing on my behalf," said Harry. "I don't trust you not to make me look like some fashion model, right off the cover of Witch Weekly."

Draco found that comment offensive. "You would look fabulous if I dressed you."

"I don't want to look fabulous," Harry countered. "I want to be comfortable."

"Who says you can't be both?!" exclaimed Draco.

"I won't be if you dress me!"

"You can be comfortable without looking like you got your clothing from the nearest bin," said Draco. "If I leave your wardrobe up to you, you'll look like a...a jester! Children will run up to you, requesting silly animals made of balloons."

Harry's mouth fell open, and then he threw his head back and laughed. "You are such a snob," he accused. "You married me, knowing full well how I tend to dress."

"And you married me, knowing I'm a snob!" Draco snapped. "Wait. That came out wrong."

Harry snickered again. "You are a snob, and I'm a slob," he said. "That doesn't mean we have to try to change one another. Marriage is all about compromise," Harry added. "Tell you what, I'll let you choose my clothing when we go out in public, and you can loosen up at home and wear comfortable clothes."

"Do you mean joggers?" Draco asked in a horrified whisper.

"Joggers and manky T-shirts," Harry insisted.

Draco sank onto a chair. "I can't do it."

"Then I can't dress up to go out," Harry said with a smirk.

Draco's lip curled. "Peasant," he spat.

"Our babies will be peasants, too," taunted Harry.

"They'll only be half-peasants!" cried Draco. "Wait. That came out wrong."
