Draco re-sized the bag of gifts and sent it Potter's way. "I tried to buy things that the baby needs," said Draco.
Potter acknowledged the statement with a stiff nod. He reached into the bag and selected a gift.
Draco didn't bother to watch Potter open anything; his attention was centered on the tiny miracle in his arms. Draco stroked AJ's downy head. The baby yawned, and Draco's heart melted all over again. He couldn't wait for his mum to meet AJ.
Draco turned to ask when his mother could visit, but the question remained unspoken. Potter had fallen asleep.
