Summary: The devil is on Draco's side.
Harry paused at the edge of the woods, wand at the ready, eyes scanning the surrounding area for danger. "This is the path the werewolf took," he said to his fellow Auror.
Malfoy's eyes were riveted on the fence post with the words Devil's in there written on it. He gulped and said, "Perhaps we should wait for back up."
"Nonsense, Malfoy," said Harry. "I've got friends on the other side."
Malfoy shot him a skeptical look. "Friends?"
"Remus' old pack hangs out in these woods," said Harry. "If there's a criminal seeking refuge among them, they'll be glad to hand him over. They don't want any trouble with the Ministry."
"What about this warning, that the devil is in there?" Malfoy asked.
"It's graffiti, nothing more," Harry replied. "Besides, you pick the devil you run with."
"What do you mean by that?" Malfoy demanded, his voice sharp.
Harry chuckled. "Have you never wondered why I'm always assigned to capture or exterminate rogue werewolves?" he asked. He called up his inner wolf, knowing that doing so would cause his eyes to glow amber in the waning light.
Malfoy gasped and took a step back.
"Relax, Malfoy. The only devil you'll encounter in these woods is on your side," said Harry. He started down the path, adding over one shoulder, "I promise I won't bite you...unless you ask me to."
