"Okay," Harry said slowly. "That's perfect. Now, just hold still and...bloody hell!"
Draco snickered from where he was leaning against the doorway, observing the proceedings. "Face it, Harry," he said, "you'll never get both of them to sit still and look at you long enough for a photo."
Harry sighed and sat back. Holly, their brown and white mutt, lolled her tongue out in a doggie grin, while Ivy, the gray and white spotted cat, yawned widely. Draco had brought the pair home from a shelter the previous year as a gift for Harry. At least, that was what he told everyone. Harry knew the truth--Draco was just as enamored of their pets, if not more so.
"I thought it would be fun to use a photo of Holly and Ivy as our Christmas cards this year," Harry muttered.
"Take a candid shot of them, and stop trying to get the perfect, posed picture," suggested Draco.
Harry hadn't really considered that. He had gotten hung up on trying to snap a perfect photo. He raised the camera again and snapped a couple quick photos. In one, both dog and cat were looking in opposite directions, and in the other, Holly was yawning while Ivy's eyes were closed. Harry groaned in disappointment.
From the doorway, Draco loosed a shrill whistle, and both pets raised their heads to look at him.
Harry snapped a photo, Holly bounded over to Draco, while Ivy sat up and scratched her ear. Harry glanced at the display on his digital camera and whooped in joy. "Success!"
