I am finally feeling properly Christmassy. Today and yesterday have been really good fun.
Yesterday I spent mostly shopping in York with my mother. I got a new (stripy and very soft) jumper, and a winter coat. The coat is teal green, double-breasted, about knee-length... and also really soft. Expensive - but it was a present! We then went ice skating, which was quite fun. Not as much fun as skating with friends in Cambridge was, but still fun.
Last night I went out in Harrogate with Dan and Charlotte. It was really good to see them again. We even saw other Sidneyites - it was almost a mini reunion. I drank quite a lot, but pizza and the walk back helped, and I wasn't hungover this morning. After Charlotte had got her train, Dan dropped me off in Knaresborough and I had brunch out with family.
The rest of today has been spent not really doing very much. We have several puzzle books which I've started work on. I've eaten a lot. We went out a nativity thing in the market square early - with real donkeys and everything! - but it was a bit too religious for me. I only go for the singing.
Just had some of the cake my sister made, and it was very nice. Tomorrow's food should be even better...
christmas,
food,
family
