Hot Chocolate Recipe

Sep 11, 2010 14:07

I'm cross-posting again. Because I like posting recipes.

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon Bournville Cocoa

1 teaspoon drinking chocolate

1 pinch mixed spice (nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice)

1/4 pinch ground cloves

1/4 pinch ground ginger

ground chillies (optional)

1/2 teaspoon honey

1 teaspoon Bickford's chocolate milkshake mix

Boiling water

Hot Milk (or hot soy milk, for an extra nutty flavour)

Method:

Mix dry ingredients together in a cup. Using a little boiling water, dissolve the dry ingredients and honey. Add the milkshake mix. Add the milk.

Drink.
Improvements may be able to be made to the method. If I wasn't so worried about breaking my father's espresso makers, I might try dissolving the dry ingredients in one, which would strain out the bits. For a larger amount of people, larger (non-ground) pieces of the spices dissolved with the hot chocolate powders in a coffee plunger may work to strain the spices out, too.
