Un-Snow Day

So what in the world made the superintendent of DISD not close school today? EVERY other school district was closed and the roads and highways were a mess. I wasn't able to make it to school until 10 a.m. I started to drive, but the roads were so bad that I took a detour and hopped the train, which of course was late. I got there only to find

We had Wednesday off. That was the only day we had icy streets. It's also the first time since I moved here that the streets iced over. Of course, many students didn't show up on Tuesday or Thursday either. I guess just being cold was excuse enough to stay home.

I would have enjoyed a day like that. It must have been so easy with so few people! Almost like private school!!
