Un-Snow Day
So what in the world made the superintendent of DISD not close school today? EVERY other school district was closed and the roads and highways were a mess. I wasn't able to make it to school until 10 a.m. I started to drive, but the roads were so bad that I took a detour and hopped the train, which of course was late. I got there only to find that more than half of the teachers had called in, and most of the students were absent. It kind of ticked me off that I busted my butt to get there when hardly anyone else did. Oh well, my boss recognized those who did make it and I know it can't hurt for looking dependable. I would like to get a full teaching position there, and if something opens up, I want her to know that I would be a good option.
But, it's still freakin cold and I'm tired. And I think I need some sunshine because the weather is making me gloomy.
