Turtle II
Some of you may remember a recent post where I recanted my turtle Yurtle's experience with over indulgence (48 feeder fish in less the 4 fours).
Well, as so often happens after over eating, Yurtle got a tummy ache. This is actually a pretty bad thing for a turtle. They get gas and can't swim properly (i.e. their back end floats). This results in them going off eating (they will only eat in the water) and spending a lot of time basking. I've spent the last week or so doing my best to keep him warm and offer him treats to get some food in him.
Just now, I noticed her swimming without being coxed into the water, so I broke out the meal worms and she ate with great enthusiasm.
I am a happy dragon.
