...about pastels
WIP, something I'm drawing for my grandmother, who's more than 90 years old and jokingly told me she's 'given up' and doesn't want to try for 110. hahaha!!! Don't mind the quality, it's late night here and i got a dim light. =/
So far, that's only a B pencil. No blending yet....I'm considering not blending, just so that there's some texture to her 'already' textured skin.
When we visited the museum at Bontoc, I saw these awesome portraits of natives done in oil pastels. I wasn't allowed to take photos but up close the art was awesome. Perhaps I'll consider picking up my pastels and try the technique out. :D
Anyway, these two photos i was able to take with my camera...unfortunately I was holding my sister's camera (the one without the memory card) most of the time so everything else was lost. but at least I got this as some sort of memory of me actually going there.
The view's better in real life. =p
