If you have the opportunity and are into those avantgarde sort of music, might I suggest listening to Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto. Wonderful music, from ambient piano to eerie techno, Asian to European inspired. He has a good range of musical genre.
I was transferring files from my damaged external drive and I found a pdf file of an arrangement of his music, and once I tried playing one of his more popular piano pieces called "Energy Flow" I knew I had to listen to the rest of his music.
Tidbit info: he compose the songs in the soundtrack in Hollywood's Wuthering Heights (1992) and The last Emperor (1987).
