Funniest thing in ages:
We were watching End Of Days and it gets to the end and there’s all the emotional reunions and it gets to Jack and Ianto’s turn.
I smile happily cause I know what’s coming up, Shar-Lyn glances at me, because she also knows but Dad is watching intently.
They hug and then…. Then… there it is! The kiss!
He’s sitting there gob smacked and of course let’s his anger overtake him.
He ranted about it for a good hour using quite a few mean and cruel words to describe homosexuals (which I won’t repeat otherwise I’ll start ranting about his issues and problems)
But then he said something that caught me and my sisters attention.
“They should have bloody warning at the beginning of something to tell us that kind of sick shit’s going to be in it”.
“But Dad”, Shar-Lyn pipes up, “It does warn about it”.
“Well I didn’t bloody see anything”.
“It did”.
“No. It didn’t”.
“Yes, it did. Look”.
She started the episode from the beginning, we have the introduction and then the opening credits. Shar-Lyn pauses it and points.
“There”.
Dad’s staring at the screen, “Where is it? I don’t bloody see it!”.
“I see it”, I start, just to annoy him.
He glares at me, “Where?”.
“There”.
I point at the screen and Shar-Lyn nods in agreement.
“It says ‘Torchwood’. What more warning do you want?”.
I can happily say now that me and my sister will be watching Torchwood in peace *dance of victory*
