[It doesn't really seem to matter where she is, walking down the city's streets with her hands tucked in her jacket's pockets. Her eyes are locked on the ground without focus. Her mind wanders elsewhere.]
Tristan's mind is also elsewhere, because he is more focused on the vague question of "where am I even", though he doesn't seem that bothered. He very nearly walks into Blue, but at the last moment he seems to zone back in and jumps neatly to one side, flashing her a slightly hazy, apologetic smile. ] Oops, terribly sorry! Not looking where I'm going at all, an awful habit.
[She doesn't look particularly bothered or surprised when she stops and looks up at him, even quirking an eyebrow. Blue recognizes the man but doesn't expect him to recognize her. There's a faint smile touching her lips when she shakes her head. Her tone may be quiet, but it's also void of any shyness.]
[ Ooh she looks nice. There's some kind of weird deja vu going on in the back of Tristan's mind, but he doesn't acknowledge it; he's quite sure he's never seen this woman before in his life. BUT SHE LOOKS PLEASANT, and that makes all the difference! ]
Oh, I don't mean to keep you or anything, but do you happen to know where we are...? My memory's failing me spectacularly right now, I haven't the faintest clue of where or why I am here.
[Brows arch and her lips part into something a little surprised and inquisitive. She didn't really think about it, so she turns her head to look behind and around.]
Ah... no, I don't think I recognize this place, either. [There's a sheepish and unconcerned quality to the way she says it.] Is there someplace you needed to go?
[ He opens his mouth as if to answer her, and then suddenly stops, frowning. He thinks for a moment, brow creased, until his expression relaxes once again into a distinctly careless smile. ]
No, actually, I don't. Not as far as I know, at least. [ absently: ] What a pleasant change...
Oh, yes, I spend most of my time being bounced around all sorts of places, sorting out other people's problems for them. [ He waves a dismissive hand. ] Time to myself is always promising, even if it's somewhere entirely random.
[ And a bit overly concrete-y for his tastes, sadly. ]
Disputes, usually those over territories and communal misunderstandings... it's positively feudal at times, but I suppose that's what you get with such old institutions. [ AND LET US CHANGE THE SUBJECT ] I'm Tristan. What's your name?
[Her expression grows just a little bit more serious. Nothing too grave, simply taking in the meaning of the words used. She's quiet for a moment after he asks her name.]
Blue! Lovely name, one of my favourite colours. [ He suddenly speaks with animation and enthusiasm, slipping away from his slower, more languid phrases. ] So many lovely things are blue! The sky, the sea, my favourite tie - oh, god, did I just say that? I loathe ties, how could I have a favourite? [ SMILES. ] Still, lovely name!
[He's oddly entertaining, to say the least. Maybe a little endearing, she thinks. She wonders what he'd say if he knew she was a wolf (disclaimer: people in her world would not be very happy).]
Thank you. [a little pause, and then, frankly:.] I've never met anyone so enthusiastic about a color.
[ Tristan would find it fascinating and terribly exciting, personally! /CHIN IN HANDS FOREVER ]
I've been told I'm enthusiastic about all the wrong things. [ SHRUG. ] To be honest, enthusiasm is a personal and subjective thing, and there are no right or wrong things to be enthusiastic about! But blue really is both a wonderful colour and name. Suits your eyes. [ CAPTAIN OBVIOUS. ]

You're right. [She shifts from one leg to the other with an exhale, almost muttering to herself.] That's why Pops named me that, when I was a pup.
[She looks so calm saying that, but her eyes suddenly widen and her lips part. She didn't quite intend to mention the last part.]
