I don't know. But that is sad.

Maybe he'll make a turn for the better and come visit, at least. I'm sure he'll be missing you guys.

We had a club meeting to decide upon the next treasurer. When asked if we could call or contact Henry if we had questions, Wally made it clear that was an impossibility. I don't think it has anything to do with Henry's health, but is because of his son. I get the impression his son is doing this to minimize his burden without much regard for what is right for his dad.

So, I expect we will never see Henry again.

Thanks for the e-hugs!

yeh, that's a sad news...
But it's life, people come and go. It was only a matter of time... :/

Yes, I know. But I also know that no matter how you try to prepare for it, and no matter how much you make yourself aware of the finite nature of life, there is nothing one can do to make dealing with it easier when it actually happens.

You spend you entire life working, learning, teaching, loving, and being loved. In the end, your reward is to become useless. What is the deal with that?

Oh, wow. I hope they take care of him here. That's pretty damn sad.

I do too. There is more to the story Wally didn't wish to discuss, and I didn't press him. It leaves me feeling that Henry's son may have taken him back for his own convenience rather than his father's well being.

I think the thing that bothers me most is while I know he will be alive, will he be living? It just seems wrong that 84 years of life should culminate in this.
