Crochet hair
I'm about to get crochet hair for the first time. I love trying new things with my hair! My hair is at shoulder length right now and it will be about 22 inches after the crochet hair.
Crochet hair is adding hair extensions except your hair is first braided then synthetic (or real, depending on your preference and how much you are willing to spend) will be crocheted into those braids to create nice long hair. This style lasts about a month or two if you take care of it.
i went to a hair salon and asked for hair extenions just up to my arm-pit area (y'know a little past my shoulders and at the beginning of my armpit), they gave me an estimate of 1k ! The hair extensions are expensive , non-reusable, and last about 4-6 weeks before you have to return and add more extensions to keep the volume and length. I divulged this to my Jamaican friends, and voila i discovered crochet hair which is way more cost effective and longer lasting.
I use a lot of synthetic hair for dance performances but it's usually like a braid or a pony tail extention and honestly it looks good so i figured what's the difference if i get my whole head filled with synthetic hair.
If i hate it? who cares, it's just hair and i can remove it.
Anyway, im going now. Let's see how it goes.
