I'm trying to decide whether Worldcon is worth the expense and the logistics hassle this year. It's in Chicago, so it's reasonably close to me, but it's at the end of August, which is still during field season. Before I make my decision, is anyone flying out for Worldcon who would like to try to influence me to go?

 This is a reminder that I'm organizing a mob to XMortis on 2/11.  This will also be the first of my going away events.  I will be there by ~10ish.  If there is sufficient interest, I will also organize fooding before hand (either dinner, or ice cream, or both).  If you're interested in the fooding part, let me know and I will coordinate things.

I get an apocalypse for my birthday!
So, this Friday night is XMortis, and part of my birthday weekend.  Sounds like time to organize a mob.  If there's enough interest, I'll organize dessert or dinner beforehand, otherwise, meet me at XMortis around 10pm this Friday!

Alright, I am really starting to schedule things in earnest. In particular, if you want to see me while I'm in Seattle, and we haven't scheduled, you should definitely poke me (I'll be there 1/3-10). I'm also just starting to schedule Bellingham, so, if you want to see me there (12/20-31) you should let me know.
