Wondering About Facebook

It's time to be one of the cool kids, Beth! :-)

I enjoy Facebook. I've reunited with several of my cousins who I hadn't been in touch with for years. I also found an old friend, and that was great. In that respect, Facebook is a valuable resource. It can be a time sucker...but it doesn't have to be. If you don't want to find yourself spending lots of time on there, steer clear of games and other time-consuming apps. There is a lot of nonsense available to you if you want to "play". I play Farmville and Restaurant City, but I limit my time on there. I don't it to become MY LIVE, after all. If you only use it to stay in touch with people, you'll be fine. You can set it up so that you can display certain information only to your "friends" so that strangers can't see anything personal. You get the choice to friend someone or not, so there's no reason to add people you don't want on there. Just keep it simple and play it close to the hip, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Be sure to look me up...I'm Gloria Root Mosier on there.

By the way, I don't use a screen name.

Thanks for the advice, Gloria. I am looking forward to reuniting with some old friends. I just find it a bit daunting that most people seem to use their real names and all sorts of info is "out there." I guess I'll get used to it.
