SPN - Houses of the Holy - 2.13

Feb 02, 2007 14:33

Ok, to start off with, my reactions to some of the religious stuff may offend some people. I don't mean too. But, I'm not going to change it. I'm also not going to explain myself - that would just take too damn long. Anyway, on with the show:

- ooh, creepy religious dude *shudders* freaking evangelicals.
- nice Sam. *drools* A man in scrubs is always good.
- the word was - grease!
- oh, smiting! always good.
- the boys are so funny: - 'you got yourself on the news!'
- 'wait, there's no unicorns?'
- 'So, I believe in what I can see' - that's just Dean all over.
- Sam's laughing on the inside. *snort*
- and now for the B&E section of today's show, oh and the digging too!
- those damn librarians!
- and that's what you get for having stupid angel statues.
- CSI! Seriously boys, gloves!!!
- thankyou Sam, now I've got Space running through my head: Calling all avenging angels (angels, kick ass angels)
- Mikey's a kick arse dude!
- oh, it's the dead priest AND the not so dead one.
- and isn't Dean supposed to be hiding?
- oh crap!
- Sam - he just wants to believe!
- I have a bad feeling about this one.
- Oh, Dean. *sniffles* His mother had faith and look where it got her, so he can't do blind faith.
- oh, bugger!
- once again proving that Dean'll do anything for his brother.
- Latin!Sam *drools*
- oops.
- redemption and vengeance
- yes Dean, lets chase the bad guy and tell the girl to call 911 - perfect way to stay hidden.
- ok, so that was the most peaceful de-spiriting ever.
- Is it bad that I'm worried for the Impala at this point? Dean so wouldn't take it if his baby got scratched up again.
- ouch!
- Sam really is Mulder.
- oh, Sammy *hugs*
- oh, Dean - belief.
- oh, Much *shakes head* sorry, wrong show...

Sam: he wants to be good and he wants proof that there's good in the world. and that Dean isn't the only one on his side. Other than, you know, the demon - 'cause that's got to be why the police are after Dean, but Sam wasn't listed, right?

He just wants to believe. He's been thrown around so much lately, and last week the boys are even more screwed than usual and just when he gets his belief it's pulled out from under his feet.

Dean: I love how in this episode we start off with Dean the definite Scully and Sam's Mulder. But, by the end we get a complete role reversal. Sam's lost and doesn't know which way is up... but Dean's just starting to believe. It's what he needed, to be able to believe that there is something other than them to counter the dark, and that perhaps he's not alone in keeping his brother from his 'destiny'.

I thought stircrazy!Dean was hilarious, and totally in character, the boy can't stop and stay hidden for more than five minutes. And hold on a second, aren't people looking for Sam too? Or is the thinking that as Dean's the only one on TV they won't notice Sam unless they see Dean first?

Oh, and the line, 'I believe in what I can see', I thought it explained Dean so well. He's not going to take crap about angels or destiny until he has proof. But it's also kinda silly, you can't always see stuff, and he knows it. He's protecting his brother the whole way through this... even when he thinks Sam's talking bollocks and he's going insane with nowt to do.

Latin: first thoughts - oh, male winchester with the Latin *drools*
second - oh, I know that word
third - I wonder if there's transcripts of the Latin anywhere
fourth - oh, yeah... plot...

I also thought it was great that last weeks dilemma wasn't just sorted with a click of the fingers... the boys are still well and truly screwed, from both sides, the hunters and the police, but they're still doing what they do best. :D
