Am I the only one?
Am I the only one who's noticed the recent trend of the sexification of culture? As in, Sex is everywhere, gloriously, but at the same time, when is too much sex, too much? Are we so bombarded by sexual imuendo that we somehow have become destined to seek bad relationships and unhealthy friendships with our peers? I mean really, when do we stop talking about sex today? When do people, I mean, when do I, ever stop seeing relationships as climaxing to a sexual peak, then tapering off. Maybe its our age, being young. Perhaps Its just me. I can't help but see how sexuality permeates all aspects of our identities, no matter how much we aim or try to hide it. It's just the way it is.
And why should we be ashamed of being sexual people, in a sexual culture? Is there any reason for puritantical conservatism in these times?
Perhaps I'm not old enough to know the answer.
