so since I've moved I've restarted the whole job hunt and so far it's going well....for jobs that aren't in california
which is a bit awkward

flew out to huntsville, al and interviewed with the nasa group working on the propulsion systems for a job working on CFD models on the thrusters and random shit which really the work they're doing is so mind blowingly amazing and all of their programming is in house and they were just laughing about fluent b/c of how much better their software is and gah it was cool stuff
and what was better was they brought in a couple of other bosses for me to talk to b/c openings were coming up in their departments and my experience crosses a few fields. One of the guys gave me his card and has kept in contact b/c he thinks he might need me for a job supporting modeling for cryogenic thermodynamic venting and its craziness.

I'm also flying out to chicago next monday to interview with the group that does the structural integrity analysis and what not for boeing and caterpillar and they want me out there for a finite element gig doing structual integrity but they also like that I have CFD experience so that way I could be a back up for their fluid dynamics section as well. So that would be cool b/c I'd be cross trained in both and get better experience

Luckily I've at least had one interview that was on the west coast, it's with this job doing financial modelling as an analytic consultant, holy crap do I want this job. It's in San Francisco, and pay is really good, and they want someone that my resume fits perfectly with and its in san francisco and gah, i want this job
although working with nasa would be bad ass

So I live out on the west coast now, I'm living with diabolous and I am thoroughly pleased with the way all of this has turned out
I'll have to post some pictures and video of the trip and the craziness that ensued from it
but it was chaotically great, and I really like it out here
Hopefully things stay that way
