Word count: 1569
Genre: Romance, slight comedy?

Summary: "I didn't hate him. I just found it strangely disturbing and unnerving for a guy to love the colour pink so much," Kyuhyun stated, noticing the car that was turning into the driveway. "And it didn't take me forever. It took me eight months, Mr. I've-been-in-love-with-Kibum-for-4-years."
Disclaimer: Do you really need to ask?
Author's note: Yes, it's late. And yes, it killed me to write this and I want to rewrite the whole thing again but then you'd have to wait even more, and I don't think you'd let me live through it when we get back to school. However, I want to kill you with suspense so you'll only be getting the first half. Un-beta-ed. And it's SiBum, as per request. I'm assuming it'll be enough.
Spots: For my Hannie, awesomequeen. Your still "early" Christmas present! :D

"This is completely stupid and probably the dumbest idea you've ever came up with."

And it probably was, seeing as how Siwon and Kyuhyun were crouched in an awakward angle to get a good glimpse of what was going on in the house through the small window. And let us not forget the fact they were are currently hiding behind some poor excuse of a bush, Kyuhyun thought.

Siwon just kept silent, legs threatening to give way after 3 straight hours of remaining in the same position.

Kyuhyun just went on, this time voicing out his next thoughts. "Any normal person would just admit their feelings to the person they like, ask them out on a date and there, happy ending. But instead," Kyuhyun turned his head to glare at the older man. "Instead you keep your unrequited feelings to yourself and wait until you see on some stupid tabloid channel that he now has a GIRLFRIEND before stealing someone's laptop while they were in the middle of an awesome winning streak only to threaten said person into following you in becoming some desperate, guilty stalker to find out if it's true when you could have just call him since he's your band mate. And shouldn't there be something in your dear Bible that rules out stalking people?"

"I think being gay already constitutes as going against the Bible. So why not add stalking to my list too?" Siwon answered, the words feeling foreign as they rolled off his tongue. It had taken him months to finally come to terms that he had felt an attraction towards his own gender rather than the girls that would flaunt themselves on him. Calling himself gay was another thing he he was going to have to take time to get used to.

Kyuhyun just rolled his eyes. "Why don't we add 'stupid idiot' to that list too, seeing as said idiocy is the exact thing that kept you against your own feelings for years. What does Kibum see in you anyway?"

"You're one to talk. Didn't it take you forever to realise that you liked your dear roommate despite innitially hating him?"

"I didn't hate him. I just found it strangely disturbing and unnerving for a guy to love the colour pink so much," Kyuhyun stated, noticing the car that was turning into the driveway. "And it didn't take me forever. It took me eight months, Mr. I've-been-in-love-with-Kibum-for-4-years."

The older eyed the two figues that were slowly stepping out of the car, unconsciously mumbling, "More like 5 years, one month and 5 days."

Kyuhyun wanted to facepalm. "You're an id-" Before he was cut short as the two realised who the person beside Kibum was.

"You don't mind staying here while I go grab a few things, right?" Kibum asked his companion. All he got as a reply was a casual flick of a hand and 'whatever' before stepping inside.

Meanwhile, Kyuhyun and Siwon had slowly inched away from their hiding place and were almost halfway to safety when a familiar voice rang clear behind them.

"You both pretty much fail at stalking. I could so see you two from hiding from a mile away. Lucky for you people, Kibum happens to be half-blind when it comes to stuff like this."

The both of them turned and came face-to-face with the equally familar face, a smirk etched on his face at being able to catch the two red-handed. "H-Hello, Heechul hyung," Siwon visibly gulped.

His smirk only became more prominant. "Siwon, didn't Hannie ever teach you that stalking gets you nowhere? He has first-hand experience, after all. And what's the maknae doing here anyway?" Heechul added, noticing the man flinch at being mentioned. "Your dear bunny boy has been bugging me about your whereabouts the entire day. He doesn't seem to be very happy right now."

Kyuhyun's eyes looked almost about ready to bulge out of their sockets. "WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN TELLING HIM?!?!"

"Uh oh, you two better start running now. I can't guarantee you that Kibum is deaf. Bye~" he said, waving nonchalantly as the two singers began to run, Siwon practically dragging Kyuhyun along.
It was exactly 5 seconds after Kyuhyun and Siwon had officially managed to successfully hide themselves in some battered old van that barely resembled an actual vehicle when Kibum stepped out, holding a book with a coat slung over his arm while a clearly confused expression was etched on his face. Or at least, that's what Siwon thought was confusion since the younger man had rarely changing facial expressions that took the whole dorm almost half a year to convince Donghae that he was not living with a real-life alien.

As they both saw Kibum face Heechul to ask about the strange yet familiar shout and Heechul giving a less than satisfactory respond that he didn't really question, a thought popped into Kyuhyun's mind.

"We've got to go back to the dorms! Shit, shit shit! Heechul probablu told Min that I'm at some sort of strip club or something along the lines that's equally worse!" Kyuhyun panicked, a wild look in his eyes as he fumbled with the keys, fingering through them clumsily.

Siwon sighed, snatching the keys from him before starting the ignition and climbing into the driver's seat. "I'll drive, so calm down. You've got to start thinking of how to calm Sungmin hyung down because I don't doubt the fact that he probably has a pair of nunchucks engraved with your name on them right now."

That inevitably made Kyuhyun panic throughout the whole drive back and if Siwon had to admit, watching Kyuhyun grovel at Sungmin's feel was quite amusing since the snarky maknae would rarely admit defeat to anyone- with Heechul being the exception- and his witty retorts usually left people surrendering.

He felt the vibrations on his pocket as Sungmin had finally began to calm down, fishing out his phone. Siwon started at the message for a few minutes, wondering whether or not he was dreaming or if someone was playing a cruel trick on him.

From: Kim Kibum
It's been awhile since we've last hung out, hyung. I'm at your favourite coffee shop a few blocks down the dorm, if you feel like hanging out just for a couple of minutes. I'll be leaving in 45 minutes.

They had all gathered together, made to collaborate with each other under some project SM had made. Super Junior '05.

"It'll help with your careers later on," they had told them.

And then they had all been left alone, awkward silence filling the air.

"So... Does anyone here know that tinfoil hats can be used to ward off aliens?" Everyone turned to stare at the boy as he scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"Donghae ah, didn't I mention to you before that aliens aren't real?" The eldest amongst them spoke. And somehow, that was all it took for them to slowly open up to each other.

Siwon soon found out each and every one of their names from the oldest to the youngest. First, there was umma persona man who was still trying to persuade the man he had called Donghae that aliens didn't exist named Park Jungsu (He had found out later that the two had once been previous band mates together). Then there was the hot-tempered Heechul who had hair way too long and made Siwon doubt he was even a man to begin with followed by the awkward (yet most normal looking) Chinese man Hangeng, weird-looking guy who looked like a drug addict Kim Jongwoon, a slightly big built Shin Donghee, tough man Kim Youngwoon, a peculiar yet cute Lee Sungmin, stick thin Lee Hyukjae, timid Kim Ryeowook and silent, enigmatic Kim Kibum.

It'll only be a year, a year, Siwon thought to himself silently.

"So why aren't you joining the rest of them?" a soft voice asked.

Siwon turned his head to see Kibum standing next to him, watching the rest of them trying their best to get along.

"It's..It's..." Siwon strrugled to find the right words. And he remembered, remembered his father's disapproving voice, his mother's disappointed face and that almost pushed him to say everything and anything. Of how he might be regretting the fact that he had secretly taken the audition behind his parent's back, that he was raised in a strict Christian family and knew that the life of show biz was not something that would allow him keep his beliefs and that he was having trouble comprehending how the rest of them could make friends so easily with each other when they would just be doing all this for a year and part ways.

Almost as if reading his thoughts, Kibum smiled and Siwon thought idly to himself how much he'd like to see that smile more often as the younger man said, "Sometimes it's okay to get a little bit reckless. Shows that we're human. A friend told me that once."

A new recruit and a year later, Siwon was happy when they had told them that they would finally be official.

"Thank you," Siwon said to Kibum as he hugged him that night, the members celebrating with cheers at a distance. And it was then that Siwon realised that the fluttering in his heart whenever the younger member was around was more that just a simple like.
