It’s a rating community that aims to be accepting not elitist, supportive not snobby, caring not cruel. We do have an application process becuase sometimes people come along who we feel just don't belong here, usually becuase they're not nice people.Ok, I had just joined the previous night at about one in the morning and wanted to sumbit the bare bones of the application before I forgot to. First off, yes, believe me, I have extremely strong opinions and I have often gotten into some deep shit for voicing them. I have learned, to quote Phantom, "those who speak of what they know find too late that prudent silence is wise". This isn't exactly a debate community is it

Music is really not all emo, but most people give such a vague explanation of what it is, that yes it may seem like it all is. We have no problem with most of your music taste, it was your lack in opinion. I am sure if you would have took as much time on your opinions as you did on this comment you would have gotten in, easily. Your comment here shows that you do have strong opinions, if only you would show us this in your application. Don't think i am trying to be mean, because i am not, it's just advice. Aeriel

Just keep working on editing it, as long as your not bitching at other members i am sure the mods, wont delete you. If you do bitch and get offensive, alof of people wont change thier minds if you do change it. So keep working and I will see what you do then.
"- This is a rating community. People may say no, and they will give you reasons. Defending yourself is ok, complaining is not." "- Put -the newest emo reject- in your subject line, so we know you’ve read the rules" you haven't read the rules. I don't care if there are spelling mistakes, that doesn't give you right to blatantly disregard them.
Your favorites were fine with me, but your opinions are extremely short. To prove my point, you had an average of 6.4 words per opinion (a total of 32), where the three applicants directly before you had an average of 41.93 words(with totals of 184, 282, and 163). - that's just in case you want something objective so you can't be offended by what i'm saying.
You shouldn't have submitted a "bare bones" application. You still had a day, so why not do it during that next day? In short....your comment above is what turned me off most. We may aim to be "accepting not elitist, supportive not snobby, caring not cruel," but you should also be nice to us. You're not going to get people to change their

To me, that's not whining, it's being defensive. Slight difference. I was irritated.
You're all so uptight though over something as stupid as this. That's what I'm finding to be odd. Take a moment to realize you averaged out opinions, which seems to be your major beef around here.
Why all care so much about a stupid new person entry?
All these exact specifications are a little odd for a bunch of kids.
I can't speak for everyone, but the only reason I care is because I don't want to be in a community with people I don't like.
As far as I can see, you're acting as though you're better than the system that's been created so we can figure out in a relatively easy manner who we would like to have with us and who we wouldn't. It may not always be the most accurate judge, but I know I sure don't have time to sit around talking on my computer all day getting to know someone I won't ever meet. That sounds cold, but I have a life other than on my computer. Nowadays, it's rare that I'm on the computer when the sun's up.
I'm in plenty of communities with people I can't stand after doing the application bit or them doing it. I even run my own community, which I mod for. I don't think I'm better than the system here, but I read the rules, forgot some stuff and underestimated on other parts. Big whoop, that's what edits are for.
I am only into one of your bands. I really don't know much about the others. Your opinions turned me off tremendously, I like to see substance in people's opinions. Sorry no.
