No I don't have an inkling to travel around the world (although that would be nice right now).
It's week, what, 7? and I'm already buckling under the pressure of Uni work. I worked out the other day that working full time (40hrs per week) and studying (so-called) part time (a suggested 20hrs per week, but it takes me longer) means I have at least a 60hr week. That's 8hrs at work 5 days a week plus 3hrs after work and 3hrs on Saturday and Sunday. Most shift workers like people who work in mines would tell me to STOP COMPLAINING about now but they get paid, like, billions of dollars a week so they can SHUT UP! Besides, I go to work all day and come home to pretty much the same thing until I go to sleep.
Help me, I'm dreaming about the Migration Act!
So, where do itchy feet come into it? I need a change. I jumped into the deep end taking on Uni while working full time and have realised it's just not going to work out. No, I'm not going to quit Uni. THAT at least, I'm determined to get through. What I will have to do is try and cut back at work OR finish it all together.
Just need to work up the courage to ask my boss if I could work part time.
Or, if I chicken out of that, maybe I could just be really slack at work and make sure she gives me the sack.
... yeah, I'd go with the first one too.
Meanwhile:
We spent Easter with some family members who have never got the chance to 'duck in' to Parkes and I hung out with some of the cutest kids in the world, my second cousins (that is, my cousin's kids) They drew me a picture and its got prime fridge position. *pride*
