I hope everyone had a lovely New Year!
Caitlin, thanks so much for the tea and postcard! I thought you were going to send a couple bags, but a box! That was great :) That postcard is cool. I love the V&A.
I had a very awesome time with Alex, Jess, Kitty, Priya, and Julia (art major Julia was there for a couple hours). One of the things Jess, Alex and I did on New Year's day was go to Ghirardelli and share a banana split. If you've never tried it, we'd recommend having Vanilla, Chocolate and Mint Chip as your ice cream choices. Mint Chip goes surprisingly well with pineapple. I'm totally serious. I'll try to write more about various adventures later complete with photos.
The ever wonderful Diana Paris came over yesterday and spent the night. All hail Diana, The Queen of Yarn! She can make anything and is quite amazing. I'm making a glittery "Snow Princess" hat that she's given me much assistance on. Jess, you know the yarn. ;) I think it made Di Di shudder a bit because it was just so, glittery and yeah . . . something about it . . . Now Diana is going to head back to Oregon. Triste!!! Half the people I enjoy are down here and the other half are up north. Be it Northern California or Oregon or Washington. Its sad, really. I think you need to come back down here, all of you!
Ok, photo time. This was taken by Miss Jessie-caw (of me and Alex) after we three devoured our banana splits and cappuccinos and right before we got on a bus driven by a crazy lady!!! I swear she really was crazy, no exaggeration. She talked out loud to herself, sometimes would butt into the conversations of her passengers and then just break out in a cackle. C-R-A-Z-Y
