update thingie
This is gonna be written in bits and pieces 'cause Laura's old idol magazines arrived today, and they're rather distracting. We TOTALLY didn't know all these people when she first got them. Like, TEPPEI is in this one, and TakaC. Also the ones we just didn't care about then. It's amazing. (NINO AND AIBA PUT YOUR CLOTHING BACK ON PLZKTHNX!)
Ok. So, talked with the new owner today. Good points: (a) new boss-lady speaks English JUST FINE. THANK YOU. (b) new boss-man (her husband) is Canadian. From Vancouver. And ex-Nova. (c) fewer hours. (d) more pay. (e) they offered me the head teacher position. (f) which has an added pay bonus.
Checked out the website, and they look pretty good there. And almost anything's a step up. So I guess I'll just continue on at the same place with new bosses.
Also: Completely forgot today was Valentine's Day until I got on the train and noticed about a zillion chicks carrying bags of chocolates. Which means I forgot to drop off Laura's valentine in her mailbox on my way out, and that I didn't wear my special Valentine's shirt. Oh well. Laura got hers after I got home, and only half the people I interacted with today would have understood the shirt. All my kids loved the cards I gave them though, which is good. And Umi gave me Thomas the Tank Engine chocolates, and Masayoshi gave me HEART-SHAPED BROWNIES which means Masayoshi is my FAVORITE FOREVER SORRY RYOMA AND JINJIN.
