Part of living in the country always seems to entail certain jobs; such as baling hay. Saturday I went up to my grandparent's old farm and helped to pick up the bales. The day before it got up to nearly 100, so it was a rather nice thing to see that it only got up to the mid 80's. Still didn't help out a lot, hot weather is hot, even more so when working out in it.

Things went alright though, with unexpected help showing up, we were done shortly before 2 in the afternoon. Normally it's a full day job, so it was a nice change of pace. Haying wasn't the only thing that had to be done. The floor needed to be replaced in the laundry room. And since everything had been taken out of there to do that, we decided to paint as well.

So a fresh coat of paint, new tiling on the reconstructed floor, and everything put back in and it's almost like a brand new room. But I think that's enough for the manual labor part. It tends to get old fast, lol.

On another hand, I did finally manage to update one of my stories. I posted the last chapter of Condemnation. Now all that remains is INE, and I know my readers are waiting for that (I'm just grateful none of them have chased me down with a rolling pin or something). So that's my next goal, to get that finished, the next chapter I mean. The story has quite a ways to go yet. But we'll get to that point when we get there, right?
