BSG Vid Recs: The Crack-ish Edition (or vids that made me happy today)
I didn't even know the first thing about fanvids before late last year. No clue. But I now adore them and have spent far to much time watching them as a quick(ha!) pick-me-up these last couple of days. And so I made a rec list for the BSG ones that I went through just to make me laugh. I think I've commented on most of these already, but especially for those vidders who are on my flist, please kick me if I've overlooked yours. They all deserve some comment love.
I may need to do a multi-fandom one of these soon too, that folder has exploded.
We Didn't Start the Fire by chaila43 : I think I commented on the vid to Chaila when it came out that this is almost exactly how I watch BSG, (minus the brain-breakage and the ANNGGST!) and it's still mostly true. Seriously crack and crackily serious with spot on match-ups, plus that damn cat.;)
Battestar Inferno by crickets : And I don't even like rap. But this may be the best crack I've ever seen.
Mr. Roboto by nicole_anell : Boomer freaking out to Styx. Toaster(pastries)! Cylon plans! Need to dl both of hers, but so very worth it.
I Touch Myself by nicole_anell : THIS SHOULD NOT WORK! Except that Gaius Baltar obviously wrote this song, and well, it's THEM.
Let's Go Crazy by laurashapiro and sdwolfpup : Well, it sold me with the summary "Gaius Baltar doubts your commitment to sparkle motion." I may have watched this one repeatedly because it is just that awesome. Gen through the season three finale.
Somebody Told Me by beccatoria : I can't describe it better than she did, "All aboard the season four WHORE TRAIN!" Every 4.0 pairing, real or imaginary. Lee is your girlfriend.
Take Me Now by boom_queen : See comment on rap for my normal slash interest level. But this vid made me believe in every one of these pairing and that's pretty impressive once you stretch beyond Baltar/Gaeta(canon!) into the more hilarious Romo/Lee, Anders/Duck and Doral/Doral. Could not stop laughing.
Single Ladies by taragel : Hysterical use of WMM's stranger special effects. Plus Lee Adama dances.
I Feel Lucky by taragel : Could not end my vid watching happiness without a couple of vids about Kara Thrace being awesome. It's the country and the matching lyrics that make me break out in giggles every time.
God Is A DJ by dualbunny : Not actually that cracky, but still my favorite happy Kara vid. Amazing editing.
Edited to change the title and some wording, because many of these don't fit even my broad definiton of crack, they just cheered me up. :)
