I finished Little Women in about three sittings. Am amused by the story, and am thinking of getting Good Wives. Just so I can find out if Laurie and Jo end up together. *sighs* I love Laurie and Jo. They're so cute. And little Beth is such a sweetheart.
I'm thinking of re-reading Pride and Prejudice, though. However, the focus of both tales is VERY different, although I love them both. Little Women focuses on how the March sisters overtake heavy burdens in their lives, and through it all, their dear darling Marmee advises them to always, always bring their troubles to God. It's almost startling, how the author has managed to bring to light how much God helps in our lives. Pride and Prejudice is more based upon the troubles faced by young, unmarried socialites. Both novels center about poverty and the lower class, which I think is splendid.
All in all, I think I'm a ghastly bookworm. Soon, my glasses will grow even thicker! *squeaks*
