I LOVE learning. I HATE learning 10 million different things at once, working the hours in between, squeezing in time with friends, making time to just sit and breath, saving up money, spending money on school things, and buying gas to get to school. I LOOOOOOOVE my anatomy and physiology class. Well, I love the material, i hate tests and requirements and deadlines. I love my major. I love learning how the body works, how deeply the choices you make effect it. Did you know that HIV virus's only contain single strands of RNA and without the help of the enzyme  HIV-1 reverse transcriptase (made by our body soley for the purpose of  converting the HIV virus's RNA into DNA which eventually kills most people, thats insane!) it would not be harmful to humans. WE create an enzyme who's sole purpose is to make an otherwise insignificant virus deadly. BUT 1 in 500 white american males (my professors statistics may be off) has a mutation (some scientist think this mutation was caused by the bubonic plague or small pox etc)  in which they have 2 of the CCR5 genes, the genes that code for the receptor (CCR5) that the HIV virus latches on to, causing the person to be resistant to the HIV virus.

I love learning this stuff! I cant belive it, all this stuff is happening in us, whether we know it or not, and i want to know it, at least as much as I can.

Sorry if you already knew this, or if it was boring to you, but i just learned about it tonight in class and i was excited about it and i wanted to share it with anyone else that might enjoy it as much as i did.

also, did you know that your desire to breath doesnt come from the need of oxygen, but the need to get CO2 out of your system? I never knew that!
