so, i finally got my student teaching placement!!!! took FG long enough, but it all worked out pretty well. my first teacher preference of mrs. kingham and harvey clarke fell through for some reason, so instead they put with mrs. bond in kindergarten. now, i think this is a fabulous trade off b/c she's amazing, and i know cuz she was my old kinder teacher, but it's freaking 5-year olds! that scares the crap out of me! i mean, this summer alone, i got stuck working with pre-schoolers too, so i think the world is trying to tell me that i need to be around the little, little guys. but, i'm hoping that i can save mrs. bond's class for my sencond semester of teaching. and so then my other one will be with val hawkins--hillary's mom at dilley elementary in the 4th grade. and she was one i did request. so, i'm really happy and excited to get such a good student teaching combination.

in other news, i had my final teacher certification exam today. i actually had to take 2 tests because they were testing out a pilot one, so if i pass either, then i'm golden. problem is, i just hope i passed at least one. i feel kind of indifferent about them, but i don't think i did just absolutely miserable. but, i need at least a 70% to pass...so that's what i'm aiming for!

oh! and ben folds is totally coming here for a concert this weekend, and i'm totally going! i'm really excited. he's actually coming to washington state university, but that's like 8 miles away, so same thing.
