Abscess-tastic

Back to the vet today. Toby let on that he was being a bit adventurous with the drain and stitches, but had been hoping for the best. But when he took the drain out it all fell apart and the stitches came out. So now it's back to what would have been the original plan anyway, which is to leave it all open and let it heal from the inside out (healing by secondary intention for those technically inclined). Apparently mice have very cheesy pus (hehe), so that's why it needed to be opened up, it wouldn't drain out like liquid. Her eye is still a bit touch and go, I'll have to keep irrigating it out and keep my fingers crossed. Anyway, the result is now she is super-ugly with a massive open wound on her face. Check it out if you dare!!...
