Dollhouse Fic: Yellow is for the Sun

Title: Yellow is for the Sun
Pairing/Characters: Boyd, Echo

Summary: Prompt - Yellow

Echo likes to draw. The crayons come in pretty colors and she always makes her skies in the same shade - that pretty light blue that makes her happy. Yellow makes her happy too so she makes the sun big and yellow, hovering over her cheerily green grass. She remembers the sun. Sometimes she thinks she can remember its warmth on her face.
Other things are supposed to be yellow too, she thinks, but it's hard to remember.
She sees Victor draw a tiger on his green grass and it's very pretty, with its orange and black stripes.
"That's a pretty tiger," she tells him. He's done his best and she should let him know.
He nods. "I like tigers."
"I like lions," she replies and then she remembers. Lions are yellow. She remembers liking lions a lot so she draws a big yellow lion with a furry mane in the middle of her green grass.
"That's a nice lion," Victor tells her.
"I think his name is Leo," she said, holding up her picture proudly.
The picture is taken out of her hands before she can blink and wonder where it's gone to.
"I think it's time for a treatment, Echo. Would you like a treatment?"
She rises, ever obedient. Treatments are good. And maybe afterwards she can draw Leo a friend to play with. She likes Leo. She misses his picture already.
