FWIW I know flag covered coffins are more associated with the military, but I did look online and saw that law enforcement does get flags and 3 volley salutes (which apparently are not the same as 21 gun salutes).

Although I admit I don't know why there are bagpipes at so many law enforcement funerals...

I confess I kind of liked the original ~400 word draft of this fic. Much more porn... ;-)

I really love the last line's twist. The whole story is hot and sweet, but I really love it in stories when a character is given more than one connection to other people.

I wasn't sure how many people would assume it was Colby, but for those who did, it is a decent twist. I fear some people will assume Don, but oh well. The fic still works.

Oh good! I think now that the reason I feared people would guess it was Don was because Mel did. She reminded me though that I kind of spoiled the story before she read it by mentioning there *was* a reveal at the end. /headdesk/
