Alexander Zemlinsky: Austrian composer around the turn of the century (19th-20th, that is). Slightly older than Mahler. If I'd stayed in musicology, I probably would have done my dissertation on him and then gone on to be the U.S. expert on Zemlinsky (as far as I know, there still isn't one). Mostly I post this because I find the results-map picture to be sort of interesting. The questions are sort of dumb in that they seem to suggest that people like me don't exist ("Would you prefer a career in the arts, or in something technical?" -- my real answer to that is "yes"). But anyhow. I suppose the result is somewhat accurate.
