Went fairly well. Worst incident was he took off his seat belt and bolted out of the bus to the playground as soon as they arrived at school. Not totally safe with parents dropping kids off, etc. The solution is a harness that clips to the bus seat and the driver keeping the door shut until his aide is there

He was in a really good mod when he got home, too. He just really likes going to school, yay!

Yep, school buses have lap belts, some have vague shoulder belts too. At least the shiny new ones do.

C's shiny new bus didn't have them... SnoHo must've bought the cheap busses.

I remember being told as a kid that seat belts on buses would be more dangerous than not having them, for reasons that made no sense at the time. I suspect the explainer was just trying to get out of the conversation.
