cousin update
She got sharpshooter ranking, so the Navy is loaning her back to the Army, or something. She is settling in in Kuwait, and mom reports that she is either at "Ali Al Salem airforce base called the Rock in the middle of nowhere or else Ahmed Al Jaber which is close by and also in the middle of nowhere" (spelling hers and possibly wrong). Tasha, do you know anything about either of those places? She seems to be in good spirits and feeling fairly confident. She seems to think she'll be allowed to come to the U.S. in August for her daughter's 7th birthday, but I don't think she'll get stateside leave for six months. She's scheduled to be there for a year, we'll see if that stays true as the situation over there seems to be getting worse by the hour. Sigh. I hope she stays safe.
